​Norson Construction was founded in 1983 and has built on a foundation of trust and excellent service in the construction industry. We have done this by executing large scale Commercial, Retail and Institutional projects while meeting or exceeding our clients specific requirements. Norson provides general contracting, construction management and design/build services throughout Western Canada, utilizing offices in Vancouver, Kelowna, and Edmonton.

Norson employs over 200 staff consisting of office administration, project managers, superintendents and hourly field staff. Construction Management

​Our involvement in the early stage of a project can help control and monitor the project budget and allow us to closely work with the design team. This contract delivery method enables us to fast track early portions of the project to get started with construction sooner than we would be able to traditionally.

Design Build

​We have relationships with several design teams that are tailored to our projects. Effective management of consultants, material selections and methods of construction are valuable items that need to be addressed at the very early stages of design and contribute to a successful project, ensuring they are delivered on-time and on budget.

Project Budgeting & Quantity Surveying

​There is an inverse relationship between when value engineering ideas are developed and how much it will cost to implement those ideas. Value Engineering ideas that are developed early in the design process can produce great savings to the owner. Cost reduction potential decreases over time, meaning our team can be most effective when brought on early. The owner, design team and Norson would have the ability to meet during the design phase to discuss the pros and cons of possible savings ideas.

Estimating & Cost Accounting

​Norson Construction utilizes Sage Project Software. This system allows us to generate RFI’s, Submittals, Meeting Minutes, Change Requests and related construction documents,  with accurate reporting and tracking to ensure the projects are managed efficiently. All invoices are managed with our job cost system and accurately tracked against the estimate.
